Walter's door began to open slowly,  he had been lying in bed working on sleeping, but the week had been stressful.  New book and the publisher wanted to do a photo shoot in his home town.  Silent Hill was a sleepy little tourist town but some times things happened there.

Silent Hill had more then it's fair share of fires, and more then it's fair share of rumors.   From the now partly open door Walter things he can hear something coming from downstairs.

Walter sighed staring at the ceiling, half contemplating the bottle of No-doze, and half contemplating the bottle of sleeping pills. He was actually fairly used to it by now, but that didnt mean he liked it. The book wasn't to much of a worry, the nightmares had had a great running story lately that stayed fresh in his head giving him things to work with, the problem was getting them pieced together in a way that others would follow.. The problem was the publisher wanting him to head back to Silent Hill... He hadn't been there almost since he had been adopted, and knew all to well that things happened there..

The door creaking open caught his attention, staring at it a moment and focusing as he started to hear noises downstairs, a chill running down his spine as he reached under the night stand pulling a large revolver, several were hidden very carefully through out his home since the incident. He checked to make sure it was loaded before getting out of bed carefully and creeping out the door, listening for any new noises the entire time.

Something is off but it doesn't stand out to Walter immediately.  the wooden steps creak under his feet and he hears that movement,  maybe something crying.   There is something down on the first floor of the orphanage, that's for sure.

Walter shook his head as he walked along, the orphanage at night always gave him the creeps.. Of course it always made it easier to spook the other kids as well. Some reason letting out the nightmares and scaring other people a little made them not as bad. He took a deep breath and started down the stairs slowly and quietly, careful to keep his feet off of the creaking boards..

He thinks he hear something skittering behind him, but when he looks nothing is there.   The crying sound appears to be coming from the girl's bathroom and shower the door is open and there seems to be something red on the floor.

Walter groans to himself.. This was not good... It was either going to end with a dead body, a jump scare, or getting slapped for peeping on someone taking a Jam shower.. He took a deep breath and edged the corner, peeking in just careful to make sure what was inside before looking...

Walter walks into the bathroom one of the showers is going and there is a little girl sitting in it, she is hiding her face on her arms and holding a blade it looks like she got it from the kitchen, the water is running red down the drain and she's rocking herself.

Hollly shit. This was a hundred times worse then what he had expected.. This was creepy enough he was going to have to put it into one of his books..

Walter kneeled down slipping the gun into his pocket, looking around to make sure its clear before talking to the girl, "Hey, You alright.. Are you hurt..?"

"I didn't want to do it..."  the voice sounds like Karen ones of the girls from the Orphanage, she looks up at Walker with eyes that seem to just be crying more blood.  "Alessa made me."

Walter blinks, "Karen..?" He shakes his head, Karen should be grown up now.. "Who is Alessa.. What did she make you do.." he looked about for a towel or something to cover her with and wipe off the blood..

Karen turns her head away from Walter, "She... she made me..." Karen's hand trembles as she holds onto the knife tightly, it makes a slight scratching sound as it scrapes against the tile floor.

Then Walter hears the sound of foot steps shuffling into the bathroom.

Oh pissing hell! Screw putting this in the book he was making a new book itself for this!

Walter gulps a moment as the knife scratches the floor, "Its ok.. We will get it worked out.. Just give me the knife ok? I'll make sure she cant make you do anything any more.." He pauses looking back to see whats making the shuffling sound.

Karen let's the knife go, and it falls to the ground making a audible sound as it clinks against the tile.

It's at that point Walter sees them.  Shuffling through the door, child like blobs of flesh each of them with a face not there by normal means but carved into the skin still wet and dripping.

Walter smiles a little as she drops the knife, but freezes as he sees the "children"..

Oh Pissing Shitting Fucking Hell! So Deffinatly its own book!

Crap.. Did he just say that out loud..? Oh well, its unlikely shes really going to remember it if she sees the trouser soiling terror coming up.. He grabs a towel and tosses it over her head to cover her eyes and scoops her up, "Come on Mini-Karen. Time to get the fuck out of here!" He staggers back from the children, looking for a way out of the bathroom...

There is only one entrance into the girl's washroom, Karen seems pretty useless as the 'children'  move steadily towards Walter like a group of horror movie zombies, they are piled in the doorway blocking it and fighting to get out at Walter and the young version of Karen.
