Toby has the feeling that he's being watched, most people are just passing him by, face less masses playing less attention to him then he is of them.  The street seems grey and the people traveling by all but faceless.

A wealth of Silver Coins fall down into his cup along with some white flowers.  He hasn't seen those flowers since he was a child in Silent Hill.  White Claudia.

Tobias Brook was a broken man staring into space, it was hard to ignore the world around him, though the world did its best to ignore him.

"He forced himself upon one of the maidens
And deflowered her against her will
And took the golden bowl from her
And carried it off along with the girl,
Then had her serve him ever afterwards.
Ill luck was to come of it,
For no maiden served again
Or came forth from that well
To help any man who happened by
And requested sustenance there;
And all other [travelers] followed [the king's example].
God! Why didn't the other vassals
Act according to their honor?
When they saw that their lord
Was raping the maidens
Because of their beauty,
They likewise raped them
and carried off the golden bowls.
Never afterwards did any maiden serve."

He muttered to himself, staring at the bloody procession as it moved in front of him. Faces stately and wicked in those passing by, moving forward their hands bloody as they moved past this stinking and broken form. The flowers found their way into his hand as he stared forward into space, rolling the flower in his hand. Claudia, White Claudia. . .

"Oh God, why did the other vassals not act according to their honor?"

And the King said "I've sent my brightest and bravest men to search for this. How did you find it?"

The Fool laughed and said "I don't know. I only knew that you were thirsty."
