Every since the day Morris had gone missing Viveca has been having nightmares about him.  Running around Silent Hill by himself, everything dark and abandoned a strange fog hanging in the air.

Today After having a nightmare about Morris running away from something she can't see she finds herself waking up in her car right by the Silent Hill Welcome Sign.   She also hears Police Sirens.

Viveca blinks and lifts her head, then shakes it quickly and looks around, growing alarmed.  What the hell? why was she on the side of the road near Silent Hill? How the hell did she get here?

Her eyes dart to the dashboard clock and she rubs her forehead as she studies the time it displays.

The last thing she remembers is laying down on the couch - with the nightmares have come insomnia, and with insomnia has come an almost ever-present need for sleep made more precious by her inability to get any. She'd been planning to eat - but she'd been so tired she'd just needed to close her eyes.

Then she woke up here.

She looks around guiltily at the sound of sirens - did she drive here in her sleep? Was that even possible? She didn't cause an accident... did she?

The officer will knock on the door, "Hello Miss Moody."  He says leaning on the car window. She knows him, Silent Hill is a small town everyone knows everyone else. but this guy works for her father making it only 2 degrees of separation.

Viveca rolls down the window - or just cracks the door if it's powered windows and the car's all the way off - and gives the officer an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry, did I cause a problem? Hopefully not an accident," she says, sounding genuinely contrite, but trying to keep the worry out of her eyes. She has no idea - maybe she did run someone off the road. Or maybe he's just worried about the car pulled off the road and wondering whether she's having car trouble.

"Well You are sleeping on the side of the road."  He says and shakes his head a little, "Are you here about the car?"

Viveca's apologetic look disappears in an instant as her gaze sharpens. "I am now. Did they find Morris Strub's car?" she asks, stomach tightening with anxiety.

"Yeah they found his car in the lake, no sign of him though."  The Officer says.  "Nothing says this means Morris is dead."

Viveca sighs, shoulders sagging slightly. "No, it doesn't - but it's not a good sign, either," she says glumly.

Vivi looks away, staring down at her hands for a moment, one resting on the steering wheel. Morris's car was found in the lake - the same lake that took her mother away from her about twenty years ago. She shivers at the thought. Ice-cold water closing over her head - the cold sapping strength from limbs, leaving them leaden and unresponsive, holding her breath until finally she can't anymore, water flooding in to chill and saturate aching lungs...

Viveca shakes herself, looking up and giving the officer a wan smile. "Sorry. Just... worried."
